5 Things To Not Feel Guilty About In Your 20s

Some people who are your age seem to know what they want to do with their lives and some others don’t. You may be somewhere in between and feeling overwhelmed by the amount of choices you have. However, your 20s are supposed to be the time where you make mistakes and have fun while you are shy of responsibilities.

Here are a few things that we should stop stressing about:

1. You’re Still Using Your Overdraft

You promised yourself that by a certain point you would no longer use your overdraft but life turned out differently. There was an emergency cost here or a pay cut there and you needed to go back into your overdraft facility. Fear not, you’re not the only one.

2. You’re Not In Your Dream Job Yet

When you were a teenager you may have thought that by 25 you would have your dream job along with loads of money and everything else you imagined. Somehow it didn’t work out that way but if you are on your way to a better future then not to worry!

3. You Don’t Have Your Own Place

Some friends seem to have moved out and are fully functioning adults but you’re still at home with your parents. Maybe you still get your washing done or have your food cooked for you. The silver lining to still living at home? You can save up for a mortgage and get a great place in the future.

4. You Don’t Have Any Savings

So you don’t have an ISA full of money? Guess what? It’s never too late to start saving and now you’re on your way to making more money you can save a lot more than you would have if you started ages ago!

5. You Haven’t Travelled Much

Everyone has a list of places they want to go. Thailand, Paris, Rome, Jamaica, New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Bali…you get the point. We get so focused on our current standpoint that we forget there are so many other places we can go. Don’t forget to live your life to the fullest. Travel often, even if you take a lot of little trips it will still be worth it.
